Pre-Purchase Silver Shield Inspection Services

SILVER SHIELD INSPECTION

One comprehensive inspection. No tiers. No shortcuts.

Purchasing an RV—whether new or used—is a significant investment. Our Silver Shield Pre-Purchase Inspection is designed to help you know what you are buying before you take ownership.

We thoroughly evaluate the RV’s major systems, components, safety equipment, interior, exterior, roof, running gear, appliances, and other accessible areas to identify defects, operational concerns, safety issues, signs of damage, and items requiring further evaluation or repair. Most inspections include 350-400+ points of inspection.

Our goal is not simply to find problems. It is to give you the information and confidence needed to make an informed purchase and to help ensure that the RV’s systems are functioning as intended before you drive or tow it away.

For buyers purchasing a new RV, an independent inspection can identify issues before delivery rather than discovering them during your first camping trip and potentially returning the RV to the dealership for warranty repairs that can take months.

For buyers purchasing a used RV, the inspection can reveal existing conditions that may affect your purchasing decision, negotiations, or future ownership costs.

🔍 Peace of mind starts here. Book your Silver Shield RV Inspection with Rig Ready RV today — because even the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

How much is an RV inspection?

RV inspection pricing depends on several factors—type, size, and age—as well as equipment such as the number of A/C units, slide-outs, and other complex systems. For example, an RV with one A/C and no slide-outs takes far less time to inspect than one with three A/C units and five slide-outs. Similarly, an older unit tends to have more issues and therefore takes more time to detail and document findings.

While every inspection is tailored to the RV, here are general starting prices:

Pre-Purchase Silver Shield Inspections

  • Pop-Up Campers – starting at $350

  • Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Class C Motorhomes:

    • Up to 20 feet – starting at $700

    • 20–35 feet – starting at $850

    • 35+ feet – starting at $1,000

  • Class A Motorhomes – starting at $1,200

  • Park Models – starting at $1,200

  • Destination Trailers – starting at $1,000

Optional Additional Service: Fluid analysis is available for Class A, B, and C units.

Owner Peace of Mind Inspections

  • Warranty Check Shield – Roughly half the cost of a Silver Shield inspection, typically $350–$600

  • Life Safety Shield – Roughly 40% of a Silver Shield inspection, typically $265–$450
(Exact prices vary slightly based on size, type, and age of RV)
